About

Welcome to the Astronomy and Astrophysics Society (AAS) at the University of Florida, a community of students dedicated to promoting the wonders of astronomy and astrophysics. Our organization was founded with the goal of providing students with the opportunity to explore and learn about the universe in a fun and engaging way.

We believe that astronomy and astrophysics are not only fascinating subjects but also crucial for understanding our place in the universe. Our mission is to educate and inspire students by exposing them to the latest developments in these fields and by providing hands-on experiences with telescopes and other astronomical equipment.

Our members come from a diverse range of backgrounds and majors, united by their passion for astronomy and astrophysics. We organize a variety of events and activities, including guest lectures by renowned astronomers and astrophysicists, stargazing events, and field trips to observatories and planetariums.

Whether you're an astronomy buff or just curious about the cosmos, we invite you to join us and be part of a community that shares your love for the stars. Join us in our mission to inspire the next generation of astronomers and astrophysicists!
